Management Team
Aileen H. Krassner
President and Principal
Aileen H. Krassner, the founder of PRG, has successfully bridged the gap
from education to business with an expansive, diversified career. She
holds a B.S. in Education and an Ed.M. in the Psychology of Reading from
Temple University, as well as an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
Before establishing PRG in 1989, Ms. Krassner was a teacher; wrote instructional
materials; designed and developed curricula; conducted training for teachers,
paraprofessionals, and corporate managers; and served as an educational
program manager for Title I. She has fueled PRG's growth by consistently
providing clients with an ever-growing service menu that responds fully
to their needs. She understands the business of education.
Joseph M. Krassner
Chairman
Joseph M. Krassner brings extensive experience in education and business
to PRG. His résumé includes 10 years with IBM as a senior
manager in its educational subsidiary, SRA. He spent 15 years with CBS
in various senior positions within its educational division, CBS Educational
& Professional Publishing, including Holt, Rinehart & Winston and BFA.
In addition, he was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Harcourt
Brace. Most recently, Mr. Krassner was the President and CEO of Media
Materials, Inc., an investor-held media company he sold in 1992. Mr. Krassner
holds a B.S. in Education from N.Y.U. and both an M.S. in Administration
and an A.D.B.A. in Business from Hofstra University.
Ronald Reed
Executive Vice President
Ron Reed oversees the operations of the Assessment and Curriculum, Correlations
and Customized Solutions, Art, Design and Production, and Marketing/Sales
Departments. Ron was previously Vice President of Business Development.
Prior to becoming associated with PRG, he was involved in the start-up
of Optical Data Corporation and participated in the development and marketing
of Windows on Science, which was the first electronic curriculum to be
adopted as an alternative to traditional textbooks in Texas and other
state-adoption markets. Mr. Reed draws on his extensive sales and marketing
experience with print-based textbook publishers, including Holt, Rinehart
& Winston and Follett Publishing Company. He also has experience marketing
internet-delivered instructional resources to schools during his tenure
as Vice President for State Relations with NewsBank, Inc. Reed holds a
B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Stella Tandy
Vice President, Financial and Administrative Services
Stella Tandy brings more than 20 years of experience in accounting, management,
and finance in industries such as publishing, manufacturing, retail, and
financial services. She oversees the company's financial, human resources,
and information systems, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of
the business. Under Ms. Tandy's direction, corporate resources are organized
in the most efficient way possible to meet client budgets, time lines,
and project requirements.
David Lippman
Vice President, Development
David Lippman leads PRG's Assessment and Curriculum Department and
has managed a full range of K12 assessment and curriculum projects
across the core subject areas and in languages other than English. His
strong knowledge of academic standards, assessment, pedagogy, and market
trends makes him a valuable partner in creating targeted assessment and
curriculum materials. Before joining PRG, Mr. Lippman was Senior Vice
President and Publisher at Holt, Rinehart & Winston. He has also held
senior management roles at Prentice Hall and the Wheetley Company. Has
worked in the educational publishing business since 1987. Mr. Lippman
holds an M.A. in sociology from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in
social science from the University of Southern California.
Linda McCoy-Schriever
Director, Correlations and Customized Solutions
Ms. McCoy-Schriever has more than five years of experience providing a
full range of correlations and customized solutions to educational publishers,
test publishers, education technology companies, and state departments
of education. An adept sales strategist, she and her department offer
a full range of sales support services for electronic, online, and printed
instructional programs, ranging from traditional textbooks to online curriculum,
trade books and educational software. She has managed numerous correlations,
showing a product's alignment to a host of curriculum frameworks and standardized
tests. Clients rely on her outstanding knowledge of state assessment objectives
and curriculum frameworks. Prior to joining PRG, Ms. McCoy-Schriever spent
10 years as the general manager for a high-volume retailer, receiving
regional and national awards for her performance.

Richard Balsam
Director, Art, Design and Production
Richard Balsam draws on more than 23 years of experience in graphic
design and art direction to make client satisfaction PRGs focus.
He has directed the art and design process for multilevel, multicomponent
educational products across all disciplines for levels K to adult. His
extensive knowledge encompasses the entire spectrum of art and design
methods, from the traditional to the latest electronic technology. His
leadership of the art, design, and production team offers the assurance
of a smooth process and final products of flawless quality. Prior to joining
PRG, Mr. Balsam served as Assistant Art Director for Steck-Vaughn Publishing,
focusing on directing the design and production of elementary, secondary,
and adult GED and ESL programs in a variety of subject areas. He directed
project teams and art direction of two- and four-color educational publications,
library editions, and CD-ROM print materials from concept, manuscript,
and design to final printing. His quintessential challenge is to match
the design and artwork with the programs instructional goals in
order to complement learning.
Cynthia Potter
Consultant
Cynthia Potter consults with PRG staff and clients to conceptualize
educational programs and develop strategic partnership and project proposals.
She brings an understanding of complex educational accountability issues
to bear on a wide variety of instructional programs, positioning them
for success with cost-effective solutions. A senior member of PRG's staff,
she has experience in large-scale project supervision and her authority
encompasses all matters pertaining to budget, schedule, and technical
performance for all projects. Ms. Potter served as Project Director for
a multi-year evaluation of Texas' Academics 2000 program and was a member
of the evaluation team for the Texas Education Agency's Ed. Tech. PILOTS
project. She is also the co-author of Microsoft's Encarta Class Server
Education Guide. Ms. Potter holds a Master of Arts degree in teaching
from Alaska Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science degree in speech
from Northwestern University. Before joining PRG, she developed instructional
materials and research-based teaching strategies for the Alaska Science
Center.
