Our Culture

We encourage our employees to be lifelong learners. Publishers Resource Group, Inc. (PRG) is a small family-owned company that is dedicated not only to student success, but also to the development and growth of each employee. Supervisors work with staff members individually to craft goals for the year that include ways to gain and practice new knowledge and skills. For example, we frequently have a contingent from our assessment department attend the Texas Assessment Conference to learn more about developments in the field.

We offer a flexible schedule and generous benefits. Our official office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., though we give our employees the flexibility to modify their work hours around a core schedule. We provide 10 paid holidays and paid time off, which is accrued and can be taken throughout the year. Our standard benefits package includes PPO medical, dental, and vision insurance. In addition, employees can opt to participate in the 401K savings plan and after a year of service begin to participate in the profit-sharing plan.

I love Vooweb! It saves me so much time, and I love the designs. I have bought over 20 website templates, and I have only needed support once - I was ASTONISHED at the level of service I received.

We have neat traditions that make work fun. An annual tradition and testament to the creativity of our employees is our Halloween costume contest. In 2002, we had staffers dress as Charlie's Angels, the four seasons, an Italian restaurant table (complete with meal), and a host of other creative characters. Employees coordinate potluck lunches to celebrate holidays throughout the year, and in 2002, we even had an employee craft show for holiday shopping. We hold an annual family picnic in the summer and always have an exciting holiday party at the end of the year. You can also expect to hear about "surprise showers" for employees who are getting married or expecting a child. Our traditions show we care about each other and go the extra mile to make our workplace an exciting one.

We recognize and reward our employees for their good work. Our employee of the month program allows managers to recognize and reward an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Winners of this honor get their name on a plaque on display in the reception area, a cash reward, and a reserved covered parking space. The company also makes a donation on their behalf to a charity of their choosing.
